Hello! I'm Jonathan, a software engineer based in New York City.

I enjoy creating things that live on the internet, ranging from websites, applications, and every thing in between. My goal is to always build products that provide the best experience possible.

Before coding, I studied Economics and Public Policy at Hunter College (BA '17) and worked in government and non-profit. After I discovered coding, I studied it at Flatiron School and graduated.

In my free time, I build small apps to learn new skills and write blog posts on anything and everything coding related on Medium. In addition to coding and programming, you'll find me learning, reading, sketching, or taking pictures with my DSLR camera.

Crafted Single Page Applications using RESTful APIs utilizing Java, Angular, and Spring Boot to deliver seamless user experiences and faster load times

Utilized Unix-based tools such as WinSCP and PuTTY to create and deploy new APIs, and modify existing APIs based on needs requested
Devised and implemented queues and authorization rules to facilitate streamlined communication between applications, reducing complexity and minimizing runtime dependencies
Deployed various bug fixes and updates for APIs across applications, collaborating closely with other deployment teams to ensure seamless integration and continuous improvement
Used AWS Simple Queue Service to verify new queues, AWS Cloudwatch to monitor logs as requested, and AWS Elastic Container Service to check if the servers are running
